Jill Coleby ‘A background in art and a successful career as Buying Controller for Habitat gave me a strong sense of style which translated well into Garden Design. Restoration of a large historic garden over the last 10 years provided an excellent foundation for my horticultural knowledge. My sourcing experience brings an edge to our partnership, helping us create practical gardens with a unique balance of style and function.

Vanessa Faulkner ‘I originally qualified as a chartered engineer before following my passion for gardening into a horticultural career. I have several years of practical experience, planting and developing gardens and a distinction in the RHS general certificate. This planting expertise, together with my technical background ensures that our designs become beautiful and successful gardens.’

Both graduates with distinction in Garden Design, we are pre-registered members of the SGD (Society of Garden Designers). We are serious about our professional development, regularly attending workshops, study days, shows and inspirational gardens. Our diverse but complimentary backgrounds have helped us develop a successful design partnership based in Marlow, and  we work throughout Bucks, Berks and the Chilterns .  Working closely together on all our commissions, each project is managed by one of us, calling on each others strengths as required. This gives you the benefit of our combined knowledge but the ease of dealing with one person.

Our projects have ranged from small town gardens to family spaces and larger country gardens, and we often work alongside a local architectural  practice producing garden design solutions when client extend or re-build their homes.  We aim to give a professional service creating inspirational designs with strong planting. Using our trusted landscape partners, and offering seasonal development to help each of our designs settle and mature, we create gardens that give our clients real pleasure … We are not in the business of rushed makeovers, we guide our clients to realise the potential, unlock the boundaries and  develop the garden of their dreams.
